Indie-rock band The Vaccines have premiered a new video for their song “20/20” – check it out HERE. The track, which was named a “charming slice of Brit pop revved up to a punk pace” by Newsday, is off their recently-released LP ‘English Graffiti’. Speaking about the track, the band says: “’20/20’ is another ode to cinema and continues the theme of heightened reality and alternate universes. We love working with friends because it’s always truly collaborative so working with max and bringing the idea to life was amazing.” ‘English Graffiti’ is available now HERE via Columbia Records. The album is being hailed as a career peak for the band, debuting at #2 in their native UK and earning praise from Nylon, Vice Noisey, Stereogum + more. Pitchfork declared it “their best record yet.” The band will also play select dates on Mumford + Sons’ ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ tour this summer. EZTV’s debut album, Calling Out, is currently streaming in full all week long via Hype Machine ahead of its July 10th release on Captured Tracks. With the help of producer Jarvis Taveniere (Woods), Calling Out is a cohesive 12-song statement in the long tradition of fully realized debuts, stripped of artifice, but full of hooks and songwriting chops. The result is a sound that’s both familiar and new, but always about the songs. In an era of independent music with a lot more emphasis placed on “story” and meaningless twitter feuds, EZTV present a record that speaks for itself. It’s an LP made for an audience that doesn’t want or need any kind of angle or controversy, but desires songs that resonate and have a lasting appeal, something available here in spades. After COCKSURE offered three separate releases on three different labels in 2014, this year, the boys bring out another full-length LP CORPORATE_STING via Metropolis Records on August 21, 2015, one year to the date of their critically-hailed debut full-length TVMALSV. Comprised of Christopher J. Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Sons of the Silent Age) and Jason C. Novak (Acumen Nation, DJ? Acucrack, Czar), Cocksure delivers 10 punches to the face, innovative industrial cum punk cum mega-mixx old school Doc Marten stompers, including a cover of a classic 30-year old Severed Heads tune with Corporate_Sting. Written and produced by Connelly and Novak at Cracknation Studios, Corporate_Sting lives low on the log of the seedy underbelly of society, taking aim at the exploiters, the thieves, the dealers and the corruptors, cranking up the heavy drums and the dirty bass while raising the ghost of classic Wax Trax!-era sounds, bathed in future horrors and catastrophe. The album includes a guest “memo” written by Duane Swierczynski, published author of Severance Package, The Blonde and a writer for the monthly Marvel Comics series Cable, matched with photography by Black Pearl Photo. With Chicago as its backdrop, Chris Connelly has been a fixture in the industrial music scene there for the last three decades, best known for his hand in such luminaries as Ministry, Pigface, Killing Joke and, of course, Revolting Cocks, among many others. In addition to his musical fluidity, his revered memoir Concrete, Bulletproof, Invisible, and Fried: My Life As A Revolting Cock (ISBN 0946719950) which bares his legacy in the scene from his beginnings in Finitribe to his involvement in the multitude of bands to his solo career, launched its second edition last summer. Long out of print, the new revamped edition includes a brand new forward, more photos and graphics, additional stories and a new cover and will be available in eBook form read by Connelly himself. Electronic maven Jason C. Novak has been instrumental in leading DJ? Acucrack and Acu men Nation, as well as running seminal label Cracknation. Both being longtime residents of that city’s fertile music scene, it was only a matter of time before Connelly and Novak collaborated directly. “This is Chicago. We have been in each other’s orbits for years, but we first started collaborating when Jason organized the COLD WAVES festival,” recalls Connelly. “He was integral in getting Revolting Cocks to reform at that. I felt like it was time to move on from playing old Cocks material and create a new monster.” COCKSURE will perform at Terminus Festival in Calgary CA (July 25), Infest in Bradford UK (August 28), Cold Waves Festival in Chicago (September 26) plus LA and San Francisco with Australias legendary Severed Heads (September 18+19). CORPORATE_STING will be released on August 21, 2015 via Metropolis Records.

Listen Here: https://soundcloud.com/rageouz/sets/ethos Fresh from SBTV premiering the visuals for his latest single ‘Time Trial’ a few days ago, and recent support from the likes of the MOBO Awards, GRM Daily, Channel AKA, and Bang Radio, fast rising East London Hip Hop artist and MOBO UnSung finalist Rageouz is proud to debut his brand new EP titled Ethos. On the captivating and authentic 8-track ‘Ethos’ EP, Rageouz delivers some of his most mature, soulful, honest, and relatable records to date, over some diverse and excellent production from the likes of Shift K3y, TEK.LUN and Freddie Joachim, as well as Soulection’s Sango and Mr. Carmack, with potent guest appearances from his one50 collective members Ayar, Preachersoul and Terrence Orlando. Rageouz paints vivid pictures of his life and times on this EP in ways that are very rare in today’s Hip Hop landscape. From ‘Horus’ which speaks about finding motivation in the most difficult times, and the old school Grime-esque ‘Nervous System’, to ‘Vai Vai’ which sees Rageouz putting on for his city, and the dark and brooding ‘Ra’, Rageouz has made sure that every kind of music lover is catered to on this record, in captivating fashion. Making a splash on the UK rap scene last year via his ‘Authentape’ project with Ayar, Rageouz returned with ‘Eastside (Sup Preme)’ at the start of this year, peaking at #8 on the Hype Machine twitter charts. The East London native was also a finalist on the latest MOBO Unsung competition, and selected as part of GRM Daily’s ‘Next Gen 10’ alongside J Hus and Bonkaz. Hell or Highwater, the rock band featuring Atreyu drummer/vocalist Brandon Saller on lead vocals, are back with a brand new single and website. The band just launched the video for “I’ll Be Waiting,” which you can watch here, on its newly launched website. The song is also available for free download! So fans can enjoy the audio + the visual. “I’ll Be Waiting” was recorded by the band at its own The Spot Studio in Vista, California. “‘I’ll Be Waiting,’ in essence is a love song,” Saller said, offering insight into the track. “But further, it’s a celebration of the feeling one has when you find someone that you truly can’t live without. It’s a feeling unmatched by anything in this world. Everyone has a ‘Jean Marie.’ If you haven’t found yours yet, you will know when you do. Here’s to finding your ‘Jean Marie’ this summer.” Since their inception, Hell or Highwater have earned comparisons to acts like Foo Fighters and Muse, thanks to their knack for crafting unforgettable and uplifting rock songs. They earned a spot on the annual UPROAR Tour in 2013 and also toured the world with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, whose frontman M. Shadows contributed vocals on the song “Go Alone,” as well as Stone Sour and The Used. They’ve survived van wrecks and lineup changes. But they’ve emerged as strong as ever, armed with a killer new track in the form of “I’ll Be Waiting.”

Pic by Charlotte Christopher Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been? Thanks for having us! We’ve been well–and very busy! We’re excited to tell you what we’ve been up to! Can you tell us more about the backstory behind your single ¨Intermission (Wires)?¨ “Intermission” was conceived in the midst of the post-college, everybody’s-moving-to-different-places, moment where you begin questioning both the substance of, and the motivation behind your relationships, and what you’re willing to do to keep those long distance connections somewhat functional. And beyond that–when the dynamic of the relationship changes, the song questions if the anxiety that follows is a symptom of a truly significant connection becoming difficult to maintain, or if it’s just the product of some kind of compulsion to romanticize a potentially untenable relationship. That probably all sounds very theoretical, but we can confirm that there is one specific person that the song revolves around. But that experience is more of a vehicle for the larger discussion of, “does absence make the heart grow fonder?” In any case, we can’t show all of our cards on the first question, *winky emoji.* How was the film experience? It was definitely a learning experience in all senses of the term. We shot the video in Brooklyn over two of the coldest autumn days last October. Between takes we would huddle together and throw on our winter coats, and when it was time to film, we had to throw them off camera and shoot. We were also shooting outside in very public spaces so we had to figure out effective ways to shoot around pedestrians, gusts of pre-polar-vortex wind, clouds blocking the sunlight, and dogs barking from nearby windows. It was anything but boring, that’s for sure! Why naming the album after this track in specific? Within the song, the “Wires” in question symbolize both one of the last potential avenues for maintaining some semblance of a connection, and the unwillingness to step away and allow for the otherwise natural progression o...

https://soundcloud.com/the-vincent-s/opium-den-song Described recently by The Dandy Warhols’ Courtney Taylor-Taylor as “the sickest and most totally believable heavy rock mother*****r ever?”, The Vincent(s) guts ‘n’ all recordings, noise and psych have their roots firmly planted in surf sounds and early 90s alt-guitar grooves. So enamoured was the Dandy’s frontman by The Vincent(s), that he contacted the bands record label to ask if he could remix one of the tunes he caught during a blistering set at last year’s Sea Sessions. The result of this collaboration was the remix of ‘Song for the Sea’ late last year by Taylor-Taylor and Brandon Eggleston (Swans, Modest Mouse). Taylor-Taylor has just produced ‘Milk with Tea’ which along with ‘Mother’ will be two upcoming singles from The Vincent(s) which are due out on FIFA Records this summer. In the mean time the band have made ‘Opium Den’ available to give us a taste of what can be expected from the new recordings. The Vincent(s) set their stall out early in 2013 with their debut ‘Asked Her to the Dance’ which caught the ear of Irish & international alternative press and radio. The Vincent(s) hooked up with Irish indie label FIFA Records to put out their debut, and have followed this up with several Singles and an EP which again gained national and international recognition and reaffirmed them as one of the most exciting bands to come out of Ireland in a long time. The Vincent(s) are currently working on their debut album. Following the success of their track, “Revolt” (featured in April on Vents Magazine), blood thirsty rockers Steve Moore and Gustavo de Beauville – aka The Unravelling – slams fans and eager critics with another single, “Master Drone”. The latest offerings comes harder than its predecessor, featuring mad-than-ever raging guitars dominating the five and a half minute recording. Moore’s vocals add fuel to the fire, giving die-hard rockers the thrill of a rollercoaster rush. “Master Drone” may boast that intense, force-be-reckon-with arrangements, which spills the soul with excitement, but it might have to push a little harder to exceed the recognition created from their previous work. Since its release in April, spine-chilling “Revolt” clocked up over 100 raving reviews from publications across the globe and earned the Calgary duo over 20,000 Facebook follows. This is not the first time they enjoyed roaring success. Their debut album, “13 Arcane Hymns” earned a place on Suite 101’s Top Heavy Metal Albums of 2010 list and scooped the Alberta Metal Awards for Best Album Production. “Master Drone” is set for release from 8th July via Bandcamp.

VENTS Magazine is excited to join forces this time with the unique artist Cyrus Shahmir a.k.a. Warm Deltas for the premiere of his new single “Slow Rays Pt. 1″ off his debut EP coming out on August via Grabbing Clouds Records. Warm Deltas is the solo project of Cyrus Shahmir (The N.E.C., Soundtrack, Night Cleaner). He is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter connected most deeply with ‘drone’ music. Warm Deltas is a reflection of the stream of eternal ideas flowing at any given time. The sounds represented on a recording are perhaps pre-concieved or in some cases completely improv. Seeing it live could yield completely, yet insanely-different results. The concept of drone music plays a significant role in a Warm Deltas sound. Recently, ideas have gotten bigger. Crowds react and sometimes crowds over-come old ideas. It’s happening all around, can’t you see? But new ideas are old ideas. Where would the perfect be but beyond our instant reach? NO more, it seems to keep these things down. How could you among, thieves, billionaires, rebels, activists, saints…be content to just be? Well, how could you? The answer is you just are content to be who you ought to be and in a weird way, isn’t that just perfect? The Warm Deltas think so and by droning in D, it is something that will never go out of style. A frequency as old as time itself.
